Through Education at all levels, ranging from Nursery through to Universities, we share in the teaching ministry of Christ, train and prepare our students to meet the challenges of life, fostering truth and love, helping them to become self-reliant. Our education ministry extends to students with special needs for physically challenged children and adults. Selfless love, commitment, dedication, discipline, hard work, sacrifice, and justice are major outstanding characteristics of our Schools.
In our apostolate of Medical services, we participate in the healing ministry of Christ and serve the sick and the suffering with love, patience, tenderness, and sympathy through improved health-care services in Hospitals, Clinics and Mobile Clinics, Dispensaries, run Primary Health Care Programs, Maternity Homes, Homes for the Aged and the weak, as well as Hospice facilities. Home-based nursing is also within our ministry, as we work for the spiritual and material well-being of all without discrimination.
In our Social Ministry we attempt to imitate the unconditional love of Christ, His care and concern for other as we serve the under-privileged in our society. This ministry covers the orphans, single parents, unwanted babies, prisoners, and marginalized persons. Feeding of the mentally-ill in the streets is one singled ministry that touches the heart of many neighbors as we follow the Gospel of Christ. We also engage in economic empowerment of women at all levels and classes, and encourage personal and community efforts for self-help. Engaging in agricultural and fishery programs, small-scale industries for self-reliance and creation of job opportunities for the unemployed is a favorite ministry in our communities.
As members of the Church which is missionary in nature, we undertake missionary apostolate by readily and willingly going forth to manifest God's love for His people, even "to the ends of the earth". In our missionary apostolic activities, we try to adapt to local conditions and identify with the people, after the example of Mother Mary Charles Walker, our Foundress.
In our pastoral ministry, we follow the gospel mandate to "Go teach all the nations …" proclaiming the Kingdom of God in collaboration with all different classes of people. Since the young are the foundation on which to build a strong local Church, we take pains to organize Catechism classes for children and adults so that we can build strong and firm moral dynamics to inculcate in them sound religious discipline. We engage in Religious Education Programs in schools and parishes, organize retreats and workshops, give talks on variety of life-giving topics, and engage in full time and part time Parish and Prison Ministries.
